VEDCO Launches The First FDAApproved Generic Carorofen Caplets

May 16, 2005 -- Vedco Inc., is pleased to announce the immediate availability of Novox Caplets (carprofen), indicated for the relief of pain and inflammation associated with osteoarthritis in dogs. Novox Caplets are the first FDA-approved generic carprofen caplets in the United States Animal Health Market.



"Osteoarthritis is a very painful degeneration of the joint and one of the most common ailments afflicting America's dog population today, particularly older and large breed dogs," said Craig Campbell, Vedco General Manager. "Unfortunately, many of these dogs are not being treated, either due to the dog-owner not recognizing the symptoms and/or the cost that the dog-owner incurs as a result of treatment. Now, with the availability of Novox Caplets, veterinarians will be able to offer effective pain relief for their dog-owning clients at a price that will make it much more affordable for dog-owners."



Novox is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), available by prescription only through a licensed veterinarian.



Novox Caplets are available in three strengths; 25mg, 75mg and 100mg. Each of these three strengths are packaged in 60 count and 180 count bottles.
