Dr Anne-Marie Shelley'ss Women'ss Trauma Manual, is now available on Lulu.com.
The Women'ss Trauma Manual is a treatment manual for women with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) or Complex PTSD (severe childhood trauma or abuse), who want to understand and gain
control of their symptoms. The manual consists of 12 sessions, each dedicated to a particular trauma symptom, such as nightmares, flashbacks, avoidance, dissociation, hyperarousal,
impulsivity, numbing, self-injury, addictions and poor self-esteem. Each session also teaches a cognitive behavioral skill, including grounding, rescripting nightmares, behavior scripts,
safe places imagery, positive distractions and the stop and snap technique, which are all coping skills designed to help patients deal with these symptoms.
