3DP Expands Manufacturing Facility Relocates Corporate Headquarters

3D-P (www.3D-P.com), a leading provider of technology products for the mining industry, expanded its engineering and manufacturing facility in Calgary, Alberta, and relocated its corporate office to larger facilities in Scottsdale, Ariz., in order to accommodate increased customer demand and a growing staff.

3D-P manufactures the Intelligent Endpoint's8482; product line, a set of robust communications platforms designed specifically for the mining and heavy industrial environment. Intelligent Endpoints provide seamless connectivity solutions for on-machine applications, including those not designed with modern communication networks in mind. The innovative products allow mining companies to leverage their existing technology investments with enhanced versatility and convenience by providing uninterrupted, reliable communications using any protocol, any network.

Customer demand for our new product line, particularly the recently announced e30 Sabre, has been exceptional, said Evan Hansen, Vice President of Engineering, 3D-P. This expansion has allowed us to double the size of our manufacturing facilities and implement dedicated task stations for each manufacturing process, allowing us to meet this demand with the quality products our customers expect.

The expanded Calgary facility also boasts additional office space for engineering staff, new training and conference rooms, dedicated research and development facilities, a prototyping lab and the expansion of clean room facilities.

The company also relocated its corporate headquarters to expanded facilities in Scottsdale, Ariz.

Our organization is growing and we needed a location to accommodate our growth, said Jim Knapp, Chief Operating Officer, 3D-P. Our new headquarters meets that need with upgraded customer training facilities, additional office space and enhanced shipping and receiving facilities.

Knapp added that the improvements to the training facilities in both locations were more conducive to hands-on, interactive training, which will allow for more efficient instruction and increased knowledge retention for customers attending the company'ss courses.

In these challenging economic times our customers are looking to us for ways to leverage their existing investments in technology, said Knapp. Both of these expansions allow us to solidify our leadership position in this market, giving us the infrastructure necessary to meet our customers's needs.
