Conner Herman and Kira Ryan, co-founders of Manhattan-based sleep consultancy Dream Team Baby, were recently named sleep experts for The Nest Baby (www.thenestbaby.com), a website for hip first-time parents from The Knot Inc.

The Dream Team Baby founders, often referred to by clients as "miracle workers" and "life changing," gained their expertise through a multi-tiered process.

Conner and Kira joined forces shortly after the birth of their first children. The women quickly bonded over their lack of sleep and began trading sleep book after sleep book. Despite their diligence and attempts at teaching their babies how to sleep, nothing seemed to work. In the end, they eventually did succeed. However, the process was both exhausting and confusing. They wished there had been an easier, more supportive way to teach their children this important life skill.

After Conner and Kira got a few weeks of blissful rest they realized they had another important job to do. They needed to help other parents avoid the pitfalls they encountered when sleep teaching. They took what they learned, recruited a board of leading child and family experts, and thoughtfully created a unique and safe approach to helping children sleep.
