Titan Pokers European Championship Kicks off with Huge Turnout



Avid poker players from around the world joined in the online poker action in the opening event of Titan Poker'ss 14-day, $4,15 Million Guaranteed European Championship of Online Poker (http://www.titanpoker.com/ecoop_nov_2008.html) (ECOOP III), which kicked off on November 24. A total of 1,420 players participated in the opening No Limit Hold'sem Tournament, with player IamBetterThanThou taking first prize of $59,640 and the coveted ECOOP bracelet.

Total prize money at the tournament was $284,000, well above the $250,000 guaranteed by Titan Poker and the iPoker Network.

Qualifying satellite tournaments for the ECOOP III events are being staged daily at Titan Poker. The ECOOP III tournaments offer a wide variety of poker games, including Texas No Limit Hold'sem, Limit Hold'sem, Pot Limit Omaha and Omaha Hi/Lo Poker Buy-in amounts vary to meet every player'ss budget.

The series culminates with a $1,500,000 Guaranteed Prize Main Event on December 7.

Titan Poker'ss first ECOOP series was staged last December and players competed over ten days for their share of $2,500,000 in cash prizes. In May this year, ECOOP II was staged with a grand total of $3,600,000 in guaranteed prizes at the ten nights of tournaments.
