Public rhetoric and debate about what to label the current economic crisis is useless, according to representatives for Growing Wealth Network. Equally worthless are presidential debates about who's to blame and how the government can rectify the economy.
Instead, the Orlando-based training institute has created a one-day event it hopes will provide attendees with meaningful answers and show them how to take advantage of current economic
trends. The Growing Wealth Financial Survival Conference will take place April 13 at the Crystal City Hilton in Arlington, Va.
"Whether you call this an economic crisis, recession, or pre-depression doesn't really matter," says Steve Sitkowski, president of GWN. "Americans are struggling to maintain their current
way of life. And with unemployment projected to reach 5.2 percent by August, what people really need are strategies for reducing debt and preserving their retirement plans. They don't
need finger-pointing, empty promises, and pie-in-the-sky economic plans."
Sitkowski, who will host the conference, says the hoopla surrounding today's economy has blinded many to the real issues: Americans are working harder for less, their dollars aren't going
as far, and they need a plan of attack. "These are incredibly difficult financial times for almost everyone. Some people are challenged just to fill their gas tanks to get to work each
day," he says. "They can either wait for things to get better, or become proactive. Otherwise, we'll have another crisis on our hands as more and more retirement-aged individuals won't be
able to support themselves."
"We're in a recession, whether the economists say we are or not," says Jordan Goodman, author of Fast Profits in Hard Times and keynote speaker for the GWN event. "And the average
investor doesn't know where to turn. But if you position yourself correctly, you can make a lot of money. All you need is a clear trend, either up or down, and we have plenty of those
right now."
Growing Wealth Network's Financial Survival Conference (http://www.growingwealthnow.com) is dedicated to in-depth coverage of the debt
reduction strategies and moneymaking opportunities emerging in an economy devastated by the mortgage crisis, credit crunch, rising oil prices, and the falling U.S. dollar. The Washington,
D.C., area event will particularly focus on Commercial Real Estate, Foreign Currency, Probate Real Estate, Personal Finance, and the Stock Market.
