Georgia Toastmaster Meet May 1315 in Atlanta



May 13, 2005 -- The Toastmasters of Georgia (District 14) meet for their Spring Conference on May 13-15 at the Crowne Plaza Atlanta Perimeter, NW.



Featured at the Conference will be two Distinguished Toastmasters, Gwen May and Ted Wood.



May, who was elected to the Board of Directors of Toastmasters International at the Toastmasters Annual International Convention in Reno, NV, held August 18-20, 2004, will be the keynote speaker at the opening session of the Conference on May 14, as well as a presenter at one of the Conference education sessions.



May, of Birmingham, Alabama, in addition to being an active and dedicated Toastmaster, is also a licensed foster parent with Alabama Baptist Home for Children and a volunteer with Junior Achievement.



Wood, who served as the President for Toastmasters International in 1986-1987, will be the keynote speaker at the Hall of Fame Luncheon on Saturday and will also present an educational session on Saturday.



Wood, who resides in Davenport, Florida, is retired and enjoys pursuing his interests in travel and opera, and teaches at Polk County Florida Community College.



Toastmasters is a worldwide, nonprofit organization teaching skills in public speaking and leadership.



Since its founding in 1924, Toastmasters International has helped four million men and women develop their communication leadership skills.
