Karen White Joins SolarWinds Executive Management Team

SolarWinds, a leading provider of downloadable, enterprise-class network management software, today announced that Karen White has joined the company as vice president of corporate and business development. White brings more than 20 years of operating experience from leading technology companies, including Oracle. She will be responsible for SolarWinds' business development activities as well as leading its efforts with regards to mergers and acquisitions.

Prior to SolarWinds, White was a managing director at Pequot Ventures, an investment firm with nearly $2 billion in capital commitments. White focused on information technology investments and was instrumental in establishing the firm's Silicon Valley presence. Previously, White held executive management positions at Oracle, including senior vice president of worldwide marketing and business development, reporting to CEO Larry Ellison and President Ray Lane. White's responsibilities over her seven years with the firm included strategic marketing, global marketing communications, brand management, and pricing and licensing strategies.
