Las Vegas Direct Spokesmodel Christina Lindley Named One of the Top...



Celebrity actress/model Christina Lindley has been named as one of the Top 10 Sexiest Poker Players of 2008 and has secured sponsorship for the World Series of Poker (WSOP) by Las Vegas Direct. Lindley has appeared in magazines such as FHM, Maxim, and Playboy. She will play June 8-10 in the WSOP Ladies Event, which will be televised live from the Rio Hotel in Las Vegas on ESPN.

Lindley got her start in poker when she shot a poker commercial with Antonio "The Magician" Esfandiari in 2005. She began researching and studying, and recently started participating in live tournaments. Lindley's friend, Kasey Thompson, introduced her to Ken Eineger and Hollywood Dave Stann, who then introduced her to Jeff "The Kid" Madsen. Being able to work with and get private coaching from these talented poker veterans helped get Lindley develop her own poker skills.



Lindley recently played in a celebrity tournament for the charities "Last Chance for Africa" and "Mentors For Youth," alongside Daniel Baldwin, Hollywood Dave, Kasey Thompson, Cuttino Mobley (Clippers) and Kato Kalin.



Lindley attributes her love for poker to her travel experience and friends she has met along the way, and she feels that her acting background prepared her for the game. Lindley said recently in an interview with Las Vegas Direct, "In poker, you have to wait and wait and wait -- just like you do in a trailer for 18 hours on a movie set to shoot that one scene -- or, in hold 'em, play that one hand. It makes my heart race, and nothing gets my adrenaline pumping more than when I know I am about to take down a huge pot."
