Pipeline Wireless Receives FCC Nationwide WiMAX License

Pipeline Wireless, Boston's leading wireless broadband provider, today announced that the company's request a nationwide license to provide WiMAX wireless services in the newly released 3.65 GHz band (3650-3700 MHz) has been awarded by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). This ability is a clear differentiator between Pipeline Wireless and most of the area's smaller wireless providers, which don't have the capability to offer WiMAX due to its cost and complexity, particularly in highly congested RF areas.
