Brasserie Cognac, the newest addition to the Serafina Restaurant Group, has hired Rubenstein Public Relations (RPR) to represent this mecca to French culture and cuisine.
Located on Broadway at 55th Street, Brasserie Cognac is steeped in Parisian romanticism, featuring a vaulted tin ceiling, zinc bar and Renaissance-inspired murals, along with traditional
yet inspired dishes such as Soup L'oingnon Gratine and Tartare of Filet Mignon with Caper Berries and Dijon Mustard.
"Brasserie Cognac provides a truly authentic French brasserie experience," said RPR President Richard Rubenstein. "We will generate awareness of the restaurant's extensive cognac menu and
develop Chef Florian Hugo's profile within the restaurant industry."
RPR will also plan a cognac tasting with prominent wine and beverage reporters and arrange other hospitality events.

Opened in April, Brasserie Cognac offers an extensive, reasonably-priced menu. Executive Chef Florian Hugo, a descendant of Les Misrables author Victor Hugo, previously worked for Alain
Ducasse in Paris, London, Monte Carlo and New York. Mr. Hugo's specialties include Bisque de Homard, Cod with Champagne and Caviar Sabayon, and Lobster and Foie Gras Vol-au-Vent. He also
incorporates cognac into a number of recipes and some table-side flamb dishes.
Designed by Julius Babilonia, a former associate of David Rockwell, Brasserie Cognac was carved and assembled in Paris and then shipped to New York City. In addition to the 110-seat
dining room, Brasserie Cognac includes a 40-seat private dining room called the Cognac room, and an adjacent bakery and rotisserie offering freshly-baked croissants and baguettes, as well
as organic roasted chicken and other French favorites.
