May 18, 2005 -- Bob & Sallie Connelly will auction the estate of Elsie Cammer Weidman on site in Deposit, NY beginning on Friday, May 27, 2005 at 6:00 p.m. (4:00 p.m. preview) and
concluding on Saturday, May 28, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. (8:30 a.m. preview). The auction includes the contents and house of Ms. Weidman, Deposit's town beautician for over 50 years.
Ms. Weidman, who died recently at 94, lived in the house all her life. Her estate includes household items, appliances, collectibles, antiques, furniture, accessories, glassware, china,
clocks, and rugs. Among the items are a Chinese Chippendale sofa with matching arm chair, a Victorian walnut and mahogany dresser with fruit pulls, miniature oil paintings, an Art Noveau
slag glass lamp with lighted base, a stereoptican viewer with Sears cards, a treadle sewing machine, a fancy Royal Bayreuth bowl, figurines, a Seth Thomas mantle clock in adamantine case,
and American and Oriental rugs.
The six-bedroom, three-story house with detached garage is located on a 0.25 acre corner lot. In excellent condition, with a slate roof, aluminum storm and screen windows, it is connected
to all city services, and is heated by gas forced hot air. It features original hardwood floors and unpainted wooden trim molding throughout. It will be auctioned by Connelly Realty
beginning at noon on Saturday.
