Denver, CO May 19, 2008 -- This competition is modeled after the professional Top Gun riding contest, which uses a professionally developed riding course. Motorcyclists for the civilian event will compete at slow-speed precision drills, riding through a series of tight turns, swerves and circles without putting down their foot or knocking a cone.
All Colorado motorcyclists are invited to compete for a chance to win a new Honda VTX1800S Cruiser, donated by T3RG Motorcycle School, along with prizes for the first three runners up. Bring the family and take a guided tour of the new Dick's Sporting Goods Park. Food and drinks will be available for purchase and seating is open to all spectators. In addition, Peter Boyles will broadcasting his Biker Nation Show from the site.
The course will be laid out by former police motorcycle trainers, who will oversee the judging consistent with the professional guidelines of Top Gun Competitions. Rules have been adopted and posted for all competitors to review at www.t3rg.com.
Practice run diagrams are offered on the website
A $5 donation per run is requested for Riders Committed 2 A Cure, a local non-profit that raises money for cancer research.
