Motorcycle Suspension Analysis Software Version 4 Now Released
The highly regarded motorcycle "Suspension Kinematic Analysis" software from Tony Foale Designs has been upgraded to include even more features.
Used by motorcycle factory engineers, suspension tuners, universities and general motorcycle enthusiasts alike. The response since its initial release for sale has been such that development is ongoing, hence version 4.
The software permits the input of the dimensional parameters of modern and traditional rear suspension systems. It then calculates all the kinematic characteristics of interest, such as motion ratio, wheel rate, shock compression, swingarm angle, ride height, rake and trail changes, pivot forces etc.. The output is both tabulated and plotted automatically. The effect of custom wound springs, top-out springs and bump rubbers are all taken into account.
The new version has improved plotting features for easy comparisons between various designs and setups. Also new to ver. 4 is a goal seeking feature, which helps determine the physical dimensions needed to produce any required characteristics.
In keeping with the previous successful policy of pricing this software so that it is available to all enthusiasts and not just professionals, it is available for the incredibly low price of 70 euros (approx. US $86). We are often told that the price is way too low, but our pricing policy ensures that what we lose from the low price we more than gain through added sales.
Sample screen shots and the user's manual are available for free download from our web site. www.tonyfoale.com The manual is the best way to check out the numerous capabilities of this software.
