January 29, 2005 -- Go Vicinity Graphic Design of Whitstable in Kent have designed and constructed a new motor bike sales website "Bike Cellar", the site offers bikers the chance to sell
and browse motorbikes and scooters on the website for free, without the need to sign in or register, and is run purely on donation only.
"We wanted to give the Bike Cellar site a graphical, friendly and easy to use feel, we found many of the motor bike sales sites on the web to be very technical in look and functionality.
We used motor bike forums to ask what bikers were after in a site of this kind, the response was fantastic, we took into account their views and we feel this reflects in the finished
product." said Robert Parker, the head designer on the project.
The two bikers behind the project are Oli and Rob, Oli stated "We wanted to provide a classifieds / admart style site purely for motor bikes, no cars or other vehicles to wade through
before we finally got to what we wanted to see, we have acquired knowledge of bikes through years of biking, combined with Go Vicinity Graphic Design's expertise, we really feel that the
finished site answers our initial brief perfectly".
The site went live on 18th January 2005, and can be seen at http://www.bikecellar.co.uk
