Dubai Lime Launches Dubais First Online Community Portal



Lime Green Entertainment LLC announced the recent development of Dubai's first online community website, www.dubailime.com. The website was created to provide the city's multi-national community, a forum for cultural development and exchange.

Dubai Lime registrants and users can experience online and offline interaction with other members. Real life community events such as music, art and cultural events are held on regular basis for Dubai Lime's registrants. Offering more than just an entertainment portal, Dubai Lime is a comprehensive tool for residents and tourists alike. The website broadcasts video clips made in Dubai, an original music podcast and listing of Dubai's events, classified section, restaurants and food venues as well as Dubai's tourist attractions. Users may vote on a Dubai original music top 40 chart by rating audio clips available on the website. The company also distributes a weekly audio and video podcast on ITUNES under the heading "Dubai Lime". The podcast serves to promote Dubai based original music to the outside world and has also attracted heavy subscriber numbers since its first podcast in June.

Bringing underground original music into the limelight Dubai Limes main focus is to develop a forum for Dubai's music composers and lovers to meet and share their love of music. Dubai Lime continues to organise regular open mic sessions that bring together artists from different cultural, social and economic backgrounds to take stage at the city's famous Central Perk and Bert's cafs.

Playing varied music to a hungry audience, each session invites 5 to 6 of Dubai Lime's registered artists to showcase their musical talents. Whilst original music is what the city craves for, Dubai Lime has also developed an opportunity for local based artists to exhibit their work through an organised art exhibition. In partnership with the cities cafes, this free of charge road show is held weekly and exhibits arts from Dubai's artists as well as promotes arts from the city's charity organisations such as Dubai Autism Centre and the Dubai Centre for Special Needs.
