Tara Platt to Star in Flesh



May 9, 2005 -- Just having wrapped romcom "Time & Tide" and horror flick "That Night", Tara Platt dives head-first into the independent gothic romance Flesh". Written and directed by Kian Kaul, FLESH is a Sartre-esque "No Exit" for the modern vampire. Principal photography begins this month with Tara starring as Emily, a vampire pondering the possibility of love and death opposite "All My Children's" George Katt.

Platt is currently in rehearsals at Noah Wyle's Blank Theatre Company for an adaptation of Moliere's Le Bourgeois Gentilhomme as part of their Living Room Series. She will be playing Nikki D, the lucky lady beneficiary, in Susan Johnston's THE BOURGIE WILLIE B. in early May.

Earlier this year, Tara performed at the Walt Disney Concert Hall in actor/writer John de Lancie's "First Nights: Clara and Robert Schumann." She is currently in rehearsals for Circle X Theatre Company's collaborative theatre piece on modern myths.

Tara can be heard voicing characters on the newly released XBox video game "Obscure" and in the anime shows "Boys Be,"Marmalade Boy,"DearS", "Daydream" and "Girls Bravo."

Located in Los Angeles, Platt's new production company, Monkey Kingdom Productions, is in pre-production on the character-driven drama "Barstow," set for a fall shoot on location. Tara is set to star as Rebecca, a free-spirited artist trying to free herself from a dark past.
