Writer Director Jill Maxcy Forms JMAXproductions After the Much Success of Her First Film Never Rob A Bank With Someone You Love



May 14, 2005 -- Jill Maxcy's recent film "Never Rob A Bank With Someone You Love!" has been selected by Inside/Out Toronto Gay and Lesbian Film Festival, Frameline29 San Fransisco Lesbian and Gay Film Festival, Outfest 2005 Los Angeles Gay and Lesbian Film Festival, Seattle True Independent Film Festival and Kansas City Friendly Film Festival.

Filmed on Kodak Super 16mm film, edited on Final Cut Pro by Editor Shane Ross, the rich film was color corrected at West Post Digital in Santa Monica, California. The 28 page script was filmed over two days with the help of a highly talented cast and crew including Director of Photography, Mark Doering-Powell. The Cast includes Cherise Leana Bangs, Shenika Williams and Jack Maxwell. Filmed entirely in Los Angeles, many of the beautiful pictures cars were provided by The Picture Car Warehouse which supplies picture cars to TV and Feature productions.

Total "in can" cost was $5000.00. Total completion cost was $14,000. A remarkable feat in this day of high cost production.

After growing up in Seattle and graduating college at Western Washington University with a B.A in Arts, Jill began an internship at Pinnacle Productions in Seattle which led her to work as a Production Assistant on various feature films such as "Sleepless in Seattle," "The Vanishing," and "The Client." Since 1994, Jill has been an active member of the Directors Guild Of America working as an Assistant Director on feature films and television programs such as "Northern Exposure," HBO's "From The Earth To The Moon," "Carnivale" and Showtime's "Huff."

Jill has directed three independent music videos, a short film, and is an avid photographer and writer. She resides in Echo Park, California.
