7th Milwaukee Short Film Festival Schedule Announced

May 21, 2005 -- The seventh Milwaukee Short Film Festival, a short film and video festival, is happy to announce its schedule. MSFF screens Sunday June 5, 2005 at The Times Cinema in Milwaukee, Wis. Over 15 international, American, and Milwaukee films and videos set to screen.

Thank you to our major sponsors: WMSE, Pizza Shuttle, Radioactive Badger Productions, Brady Street Pharmacy/Astor Street Theater and The Art Bar.

For the first time this year, the festival will screen national and international works alongside the work of local filmmakers. Both narrative and experimental works are featured in the program. Join us to view the best films and videos competing for the $1000 grand prize. And weigh in about who you think is the best with our audience award.

Some highlights of the program are:
"Skin Tone" - 6th MSFF winning local director Eric Gerber (Milwaukee, WI) returns to bring us an introspective look at a filmmaker's personal injury. (Director to attend festival)
"Quitters" - a narrative about drinking buddies competing to go the longest without a cigarette. (Henry Miller from New York City; representative to attend festival)
"A Better Life" - a fashion-centric film by director Tate Bunker (Milwaukee, WI), who received the Milwaukee Filmmaker Award at last fall's Milwaukee International Film Festival.
"Cushion" - an impressive project featuring cyber-dating's eventual dilemma that premiered at Slamdance Film Festival. (Alexander Rojas, Chicago, IL)
Opportunity for audience members to vote for the audience choice award.

Tickets are $10 and will be available at the door.

Please note that the screening order to the program may change, and there may still be schedule additions.
