Los Angeles, CA January 13, 2009 -- Renowned lifestyle interior designer, retailer and licensee Barclay Butera--whose clients include Sharon Stone, Chris O'sDonnell, and Renee Zellweger--will turn his permanent showroom in Park City into a must-visit lounge with an impressive lineup of celebrity-heavy events during the Sundance Film Festival week (Jan. 15-21, 2009). Butera decided this year to work in coordination with various partners that all bring something unique to the table, including TBP Productions, The Creative Coalition, Western Interiors 's38; Design magazine, the WENN Photo Studio, and more. The showroom is located at 255 Heber Ave., Ste. A (by the corner of Main St.), and the full current schedule is below.

During each day, the designer'ss lounge will be used as The WENN Photo Studio and interview/press junket lounge for celebrities, with Anne Hathaway, Kevin Spacey, Liam Neeson, Emma Thompson, Ashton Kutcher, Demi Moore and Pierce Brosnan making an appearance, among others. Celebrity stylist Eric Sebbag will be working on visitors throughout the day. There will be THE STORE, as well, featuring best brands--such as Ray Ban and Ed Hardy--for sale with proceeds benefiting selected charities: The Creative Coalition, SOMALY MAM and The Abolish Slavery Coalition. On Jan. 17, The Creative Coalition Luncheon will present The Creative Coalition Panel followed by a book signing with author Meredith Brokaw (both sponsored by Western Interiors 's38; Design).

The evenings will be eventful and star-studded with private dinners--2nd Annual Spotlight Initiative Dinner Party (The Creative Coalition and Western Interiors 's38; Design host), Ed Hardy Shoes; movie premiere, invitation-only dinner party for LYMELIFE hosted by Martin Scorcese, with guests including Emma Roberts, Tim Hutton, Alec Baldwin, Jill Hennessey; and a party for film Want To Be Me. Sunday evening will boast The Celebrity Charity Poker Tournament with confirmed players to include Jerry Yang (2007 World Series Poker Champion), Billy Wirth, Steven and Danny Baldwin, Joe Francis, Kim Zolclak and more. The evening will include a performance by Macy Gray.

I'sm excited this year that we'sve become a venue for major Sundance Film Festival events, says Barclay Butera, President and CEO of Barclay Butera, Inc. Being involved in Hollywood social scene as a designer, this only translates my Hollywood presence to the film festival.

Butera began participating in film festival-related events in 2005 when he hosted The Independent Party, a 'sthank you's to the residents of the area for their patronage as well as an alternative party for festival attendees. The Barclay Butera Foundation, established to benefit a variety of community-based philanthropies, making a donation to the historic Egyptian Theatre Company during the party.

In 2006, Butera debuted his redesigned Airstream trailer as the GreenRoom Celebrity Lounge for top companies such as WireImage, the Los Angeles Times, the Utah Film Commission, Hewlett-Packard, L'sOreal and Laser Pacific Post. He also partnered with Hollywood Life magazine for an event honoring a selection of dramas being screened. The event, which featured a Liz Phair set and drew well over 500 partygoers--including Nick Nolte, Nick Cave, Michael Rapaport, Tim Hutton--was held at the popular Queer Lounge, designed that year by Butera as a home away from home featuring his signature conversation areas, this time with a red, white and black Hollywood chic approach.

Butera released his first coffee table book in Fall 2008, Living In Style (Assouline Publishing), launching his Lifestyle Line, along with a candle line through Archipelago Botanicals.He recently formed an association with Hearst Castle Collection's174;, reflected in upholstery and pillows. And the first two quarters of 2009 will see the debut of his area rug designs through Kravet Inc., called The Tufts Collection (in Kravet'ss showrooms now) and his line of textiles through Kravet Collections.
