CNNs Paul Begala to host D.C. Premiere Screening of One Peace at ATime....

One Peace at a Time is an inspiring feature documentary highlighting solutions to some of the world'ss most pressing problems. The film includes the insights of Nobel Peace laureate Muhammad Yunus, Nobel Physicist Steven Chu, (Barack Obama'ss Secretary of Energy), Dr. Helene Gayle (CEO of CARE, International), American legend Willie Nelson and many others.

The World Premiere of One Peace at a Time had a sold-out audience of 1,100 people standing and cheering through the credit sequence, applauding loudly for each of the people and programs profiled in the film. The D.C. Premiere, produced by The Program Board of GWU and The Nobelity Project, is just the third time the film has been seen (and follows a private invitation-only preview of the film in Portland for friends of the Nike and Nike Foundation).

The film follows director Turk Pipkin'ss five-continent, two-year search for a better way ahead. Pipkin sought the answer to one basic question: Can we provide basic rights - water, nutrition, education, healthcare and a sustainable and peaceful environment - to every child on earth

The solutions Pipkin chronicles include Ethiopian water projects with A Glimmer of Hope, education solutions with The Hole in the Wall and other innovative programs and the model Indian orphanages of The Miracle Foundation. Caroline Boudreaux, founder of the The Miracle Foundation, is a principal honoree of the DC screening. Congressman Lloyd Doggett - also an honoree for the GW premiere - will participate in a Q 's38; A with Begala and Pipkin following the screening.

In the film, Congressman Doggett'ss look at the possibility of the U.S. signing the International Treaty to Ban Cluster Munitions, and discuss the responsibilities and possibilities of achieving change by working with your elected officials.

One Peace at a Time is Pipkin'ss sequel to his acclaimed documentary Nobelity, which Esquire Magazine called, Nine ways to save the World. While Nobelity looked at problems through the eyes of nine Nobel laureates, the new movie focuses on solutions that every person can be a part of.

I received a tremendous response after the Austin Premiere, says Pipkin. People who'sd seen the film were inspired to pick an issue and do their part. Some have become lenders on Kiva.org; some are donating rice to the World Food Program by playing FreeRice.com and many, many others are joining with The Nobelity Project to build a High School in Kenya.

The film is produced by the Nobelity Project, a 501c3 nonprofit working for a more peaceful and sustainable world. Proceeds from the film support the Nobelity in Schools education program and the nonprofit'ss development work in Kenya, Ethiopia and elsewhere.

About the Director:

Actor, writer and filmmaker Turk Pipkin is the writer and director of the award-winning documentary Nobelity. As an actor, he appeared in the feature films Friday Night Lights, The Alamo and Scanner Darkly. On HBO'ss The Sopranos, Turk played the recurring role of Janice'ss narcoleptic boyfriend, Aaron Arkaway. He is the author of ten books including the recent New York Times best-seller, The Tao of Willie, co-authored with Willie Nelson.

Along with his wife Christy Pipkin, Turk founded the global education nonprofit The Nobelity Project. Turk is also a member of the Clinton Global Initiative.
