Writer/Director Michael Cory Davis gives a gruesome look into the life of child trafficking with his film short, Svetlana's Journey, at the 2005 Hollywood Film Festival. Based on a true
story, this 40-minute short tells of a 13-year-old Bulgarian girl sold into prostitution by her adopted parents and how she did the unthinkable to release herself from the dark forces
that entered her life.
Davis was selected from over 2,200 film submissions that include features, documentaries and shorts. The screening will take place, Wednesday, October 19 at the Arclight Cinemas (6360
Sunset Blvd.) in Theatre A at 2:30 PM. The film features Bulgarian stars, Violeta Markovska, Maxim Gentchev, Gergana Dzhikelova, and Elvira Ivanova. The movie Svetlana s Journey, shot in
Bulgaria, is the directing debut of director / screenwriter / actor, featured in Bold and The Beautiful and All My Children, as well as in Raptor Island, Alien Blood, Man Made, The Vault,
and The Call.

business with an estimated turnover of at least 15 billion US dollars on a yearly basis. Davis conducts educational seminars regarding human trafficking nationally and
internationally.
