Ebayer Finds Beam Me Up Scotty on Toast

An Ebay seller going under the user name thepinkmarker has an auction up on www.eBay.com for a piece of toast that she said her and her 8 year old son mysteriously found on the breakfast table. This occurred after the recent passing of the actor James Doohan who was best known as "Scotty" on Star Trek.



Thepinkmarker says they are asking bidders to bring the "Toast" to its final mission. Which is a trip to out of space as that is where "Scotty" wished his ashes will be sent.



During an interview the eBay user thepinkmarker said a piece of toast is one of the ways eBay sellers may bring attention to an odd or dramatic event.



"It brings talk and memorializes the event in an unusual fashion," she said, adding that "pieces of toast that have no meaning have sold for thousands of dollars on eBay."



Although, she could use the money, she hopes the toast goes to someone who will bring it to outer-space just as "Scotty" wanted done with his ashes. If that can't happen she hopes it goes to a Star Trek fan.
