About Jericho'ss Echo:
Jericho'ss Echo introduces us to some of the colorful characters of the little-known Israeli punk scene, and gives us insights into their lives through interviews, verite´ scenes, and
live musical footage. The young people in these bands represent the future of this important region, and theirs views are not those usually portrayed by the mainstream media.
About the Filmmaker:
Director/Producer Liz Nord's8217;s foray into this project resulted from her passion about both the future of Israel, as an American Jew, and her involvement with the independent record
label, Negative Progression Records. Liz believes that the spirit of punk rock translates well in the world of guerilla filmmaking. Some of her favorite bands include Minor Threat,
Fugazi, Bad Religion and Sonic Youth. Liz is a Founding Producer of the independent news show, Street Level TV (airing on the Free Speech TV Network). She is currently serving on the
Board of Directors of the Bay Area Women in Film and TV and working as a media educator for the Just Think Foundation. Liz'ss short movies, such as the satirical documentary, 's8220;Dear
Mr. Bush,'s8221; have screened in theatres throughout the San Francisco Bay Area.
The film's8217;s board of advisors includes such esteemed members as independent music legend Ian MacKaye, former EMMY-winning Executive Producer, Susheel Bibbs, videojournalist Joe
Rubin, Jerusalem Post Arts and Culture reporter, Ariel Chasnoff and Lost Film Festival pioneer, Scott Beibin.
