Leopardo Olympus Productions Wins Awards and Recognition From Two International...

#8211; LeopardoOlympus Productions, a Chicago-based independent film production company, today announced that its first film, 's8220;Slaves of the Beast,'s8221; won Best Horror Film of the Year at the Action on Film Festival in Long Beach, Calif., which was held July 28-30. In May, the film was also honored at the Myrtle Beach International Film Festival where it was awarded first place in the Thriller category and fifth place in the Best Short of 2006 category.

Coming off its success, LeopardoOlympus Productions is currently seeking investors for its first feature film.



About Slaves of the Beast

Slaves of the Beast is the first film by LeopardoOlympus Productions. It is a unique portrayal of a serial killer and a contract killer that meet by fate. Neither of the men is aware of the other's8217;s background until the climactic ending. The film is designed to show two killers who commit the same horrific act, but are completely different. The serial killer, played by Rob Vollrath, is an intelligent, charismatic sales executive who appears to be non-threatening. The other killer, played by Thomas Craven, captures the bold, brute, 's8220;what you see is what you get's8221; image.



The movie, while not intended to glorify the actions of the two killers, looks inside the minds and thought process of two different killers. The film's8217;s direction highlights the theory that inside the body of every killer grows a monster, a beast. As time passes, the beast takes over every instinct no matter how much the man fights it. In essence, the killer becomes a 's8220;slave of the beast.'s8221; The film was written by Don Zorbas and Rob Vollrath, directed by Don Zorbas and produced by Curtis Leopardo.
