In chapter 6, a battle has broken out on a Saturday evening in a south side Tucson, Arizona, neighborhood between Juarez and Sinaloa Cartel soldiers fighting over control of the
distribution of cocaine and marijuana coming into the U.S. Fighting has increased in intensity when local police are brought in to control the situation. Reports from several officers on
the scene indicate that they cannot withstand the massive automatic weapons fire from the 50 or so cartel soldiers. In the melee, residents in the area and innocent passersby in traffic
are shot and killed or wounded. The situation becomes out of control when ambulances, rescue personnel and hospital resources are exhausted and the conflict escalates.
Authorities intercede by bringing in the Boom Brothers to contain the violence. The paramilitary force then pushes cartel soldiers out of the area and into a protracted running battle
south on Interstate 19 to the border town of Nogales, Mexico. By about 3:30 AM, remaining cartel soldiers are trapped on the banks of the Rio Grande River near the bridge crossing.
Expecting to be captured and jailed, the two dozen or so remaining cartel members beg their surrender. A TV crew for Tuscon'ss KAZZ TV, reporter Kyle Hopkins and his cameraman, are
embedded with the Boom Brothers. The accompanying news video is part of the artwork for chapter 6 and adds to the excitement of the story.
Boom Brothers Creative Director Richard Parker commented on the video production saying, Just like the Orson Wells 'sWar of the Worlds's, we want to use interactive technology to
entertain the thousands of people reading our internet novel, 'sWe'sre Gonna Need Bigger Guns's. We get tons of e-mail and they love it. A second novel with cutting edge graphic
illustrations is currently in production.
