Wilson Pickett Story Gets Greenlight from EOMP Films

Director/Actor Stanley V. Henson, Jr. announced today that he will begin casting and production for the unauthorized version of the Wilson Pickett Story. Maxwell Pickett has agreed to assist Henson with the real story of Wilson Pickett.



Henson says he will put the same detail in this film as was given "Ray". He says this is not the same type of story as "Ray" but, entirely different. When asked who he would like to portray the role, he says he has two actors in mind. He has contacted the agents for the actors and will announce the results soon. Henson believes that he will do a better film via records and tape footage study than hearing personal opinions. Henson says "Jamie Foxx once stated that he studied Ray Charles from old footage and did not want to get too close to the older mellow Ray.I agree with that strategy." The film will begin production in September. The film will be distributed worldwide.
