A fan favorite, public speaking brought Craig full circle back to his roots and desire to be a voice talent. He reveals, "One big thing I had to get used to was that when being a public and motivational speaker is that I could draw energy from my audience responses. Voice over left me talking to a microphone and acoustical tile. I had a hard time with it at first. After awhile though I used my mind to generate those audiences and get life back into my readings."
Possessing more than just the Gift of Gab, Craig specializes in narration for documentaries, is a wonderful storyteller, and is also capable of writing critically acclaimed work. Craig Koepke won a short story award for the autobiographical tale he penned about growing up as a boy in rural America focusing on a father who teaches his son a lesson that will serve him well as he raises his own family. The story is featured on his personal website as well as his website at Voices.com.
Regarding his narration style, Craig relates, "I can get in a serious reflective mood or put myself into the story as a first person type of experience. I try to make the read come alive in my mind. If I can do that the reading will come alive in the listeners mind as well. I was taught early on in my career from educated professionals to put some fire into your talk or readings or throw the reading into the fire. You might as well not even do it if you cannot give the story the meaning it deserves."
Craig Koepke has embraced a business philosophy of constructive critiquing. He acknowledges that it is good to be praised for accomplishments when praise is earned, but more importantly, he recognizes that if one is to succeed at anything, the ability to embrace constructive criticism is paramount. Learning from the observations of others, even if they may not be the most pleasant in nature it is important and promotes growth, making people more mature in their vocations and helping them to prosper as an individual.
