Digital Performer 6 delivers a state-of-the-art audio workstation experience, said Jim Cooper, Director of Marketing for MOTU. Now, DP6 users can gain unprecedented hands-on control of their creative endeavors with the sleek and stylish Artist Series media controllers from Euphonix. When using MC Control and MC Mix to control Digital Performer, users can enjoy the sublime tactile experience of large format mixing consoles while at work in their personal desktop MOTU studio.
MOTU joins an ever-growing list of EuCon partners including Apple, Steinberg, and others to integrate native EuCon support into their DAWs. Setup is plug-and-play: Euphonix MC Control and MC Mix owners simply download the latest EuControl software update from the Euphonix website and run Digital Performer 6.01 or later to enjoy all the benefits of EuCon.
EuCon is a high-speed control protocol developed by Euphonix that enables simultaneous control of multiple applications and even workstations over an Ethernet cable at 250 times the speed and eight times the resolution of MIDI. EuCon automatically detects whatever application is in the foreground and instantly sets all controller displays, motorized faders and arsenal of controls to match. EuCon also allows Artist Series users to effortlessly switch between multiple Mac workstations -- perfect for projects that require using dedicated audio and video workstations. Furthermore, MC Control and MC Mix easily integrate into any studio, fitting perfectly between a computer keyboard and screen, and up to four units can be connected to create a larger, integrated control surface.
