HaiVision Announces Compatibility with BARCO TransForm Series for Control Rooms



HaiVision Systems Inc. (Montreal, Canada) is pleased to announce that Barco and HaiVision have fully tested and endorsed compatibility between Barco's8217;s Streaming Video Card universal decoder for the TransForm product line and HaiVision's8217;s hai210 MPEG-2 compact encoder.

Barco'ss integrated streaming video solutions are centered on a universal decoder card that is usable within the modular chassis architecture of the TRANSFORM Series, Barco'ss family of controllers (the TRANSFORM A and HYDRA). This means that the decoder card may be used alongside other interface cards (i.e. composite analog, SDI, HD-SDI) within any of Barco'ss family of controllers. This allows for simultaneous deployment of multiple video technologies and protects the investment on the display walls by providing an easy migration from analog or hybrid based video systems to a complete end-to-end digital solution.

The hai210 encoder is the entry level MPEG-2 offering from HaiVision, focused on delivering excellent performance in a compact, easy to deploy and manage form factor. HaiVision also offers a broad range of MPEG-2 and MPEG-4 AVC / H.264 appliances and multi-stream, high performance, network video systems spanning applications from very high quality video streaming to boardroom and collaboration suite environments.
