AMD Opteron Processor Powers Leading Production House in Central Europe

#8211; AMD today announced that Digital Media Production (DMP) has successfully finished the first stage of migrating their high-performance DVD authoring workstation pool to AMD Opteron's8482; processor-based systems. With these new high-end AMD Opteron processor based HP xw9300 workstations ,DMP will be able to provide better services for clients demanding high quality, creative and rapid DVD production.



The creative team of DMP is now able to use HP xw9300 workstations powered by AMD Opteron processors model 246. Those systems offer an easy upgrade path for future expansion by populating the second socket with another AMD Opteron processor. It is also possible to upgrade the workstation with even higher performing dual-core AMD Opteron processors. This significantly extends the lifespan of this investment and allows the ability to scale system performance according to future needs of DMP's8217;s production.
