Artist Barbara Kolo Shows Natural Color in Solo Exhibition at the Topanga Canyon Gallery



In her first solo exhibition at the Topanga Canyon Gallery, Barbara Kolo will present a series of acrylic paintings. Dots and drips of paint with sophisticated color patterns embody qualities of the natural world and the abstract. All the works are hand painted, labor intensive and deeply personal.

In Natural Color, Barbara Kolo uses elements of pointillism, repetition and abstraction; melding them seamlessly through a balance of logic and intuition creating a unique vision. Her color patterns attractively draw the viewer into each canvas'ss private world. Present in each is a connection to nature and/or landscape.

Barbara Kolo'ss work has shown on both coasts of the United States, in France and Italy. Most recently, she has shown her work in-group exhibitions at the Topanga Canyon Gallery, TAG, Off Rose Gallery and in the Brewery Fall Artwalk. All are in the Los Angeles area.

The exhibition will be on view at the Topanga Canyon Gallery, 120 N. Topanga Canyon Blvd. #109. Topanga, CA 90291. Hours are Tues.-- Sat.10AM--6PM and Sun.10 AM -- 5PM.

There will be a reception for the artist on Sunday, November 12th from 3-6PM.
