Design Museum Launches Zaha Hadid Exhibition Blog

On 29 June 2007 the first major UK exhibition of Zaha Hadid'ss architecture and design will open at the Design Museum in London. Spanning two floors this is the largest project the museum has undertaken and will present her most significant past, present and future projects. To facilitate a forum for debate, and to maximise the impact of the exhibition, the Design Museum has launched a Zaha Hadid Exhibition Blog: zahahadidblog.com.

Edited by design journalist Marcus Fairs, of the design blog dezeen.com the Zaha Hadid Exhibition Blog will reveal the complex processes behind exhibition development, with behind the scenes interviews and images of Zaha Hadid and her colleagues at their offices, back stage photographs and of the exhibition installation, and news and footage of the opening events, allowing visitors an unparalleled layered experience of this major exhibition.

A panel of founder contributors, including Lynda Relph-Knight Editor of
Design Week, Edwin Heathcote Architecture Critic of the Financial Times, and Tom Dyckhoff Architecture Critic for The Times, will blog their personal thoughts of Zaha Hadid and the exhibition when it opens. As well as journalists, the panel includes a growing list of designers and design commentators, including design partnership &made, and graffiti artist Remi/Rough, who cites Zaha Hadid as a strong influence on his work.

When the exhibition opens to the public on 29 June visitors will be encouraged to submit their exhibition reviews for publication on the blog. They can do this at computers made available within the exhibition, via wireless internet access in the Design Museum Café, and by logging onto the site at home.

Design Museum Communications Manager Josephine Gaffikin said, A blog is the perfect format for communicating an exhibition - we are surprised it has not been done before. The blog offers a forum for debate, enabling the public to become really involved. It provides an unprecedented opportunity for public feedback on the exhibition and a truly international reach.

The Zaha Hadid Exhibition Blog has been designed by innovative digital design and technology consultancy Designjunction.
