ArtEsteem(sm) - Oakland Art and Social Justice Program Inspires and Teaches Children and Youth to Articulate their Voice and become Inspired for Success through Art

Violence, death and drugs are a common theme amongst many of the children and youth in West and East Oakland. For the students of ArtEsteem, art and social justice program of the Attitudinal Healing Connection, art has become an outlet and voice to articulate and understand their existence as it relates to the community and the world.

(Oakland, CA) Attitudinal Healing Connection will host its 7th Annual ArtEsteem(sm) Exhibition showcasing art and fashion designs with a social justice and community-building theme. The artwork is created by students ranging from age 6 to 18. The exhibit event will showcase work from five schools including Hoover Elementary, Lowell Middle School, KIPP Bridge College Preparatory School, Rudsdale Academy and McClymonds High School.
