Break out your dancing shoes and celebrate Summer on the Hudson 2006 as Riverside Park South hosts the 1st Annual Main Squeeze Accordion Festival on Saturday, July 8th from 2 PM to 9 PM.
Help pay tribute to the 's8220;squeeze box's8221; and the masters who play it at this all day festival of music and fun, featuring an eclectic mix of traditional, contemporary and fusion
music from around the world as well as an accordion flea market, delicious food and plenty of dancing.
The festival is co-curated by Walter Kuhr, owner of Main Squeeze, the only accordion boutique in the five boroughs, and founder and bandleader of the 15-piece, all female Main Squeeze
Orchestra which will kick off the day.
Performers include Guy Klucevsek; Proyeccion Norteña, led by Alfonso Fuentes; Ernestilio y Su Conjunto; The Balkan Brothers: Seido Salifoski & Ismail Butera; Jesse Lege & Bayou
Brew; The Phoebe Legere Experience and The John Nolan Trio.

Summer on the Hudson is an annual festival of cultural and community events presented in Riverside Park South. With a mix of music concerts, dance performances, movies under the stars, DJ
dance parties, kids's8217; shows, day-long festivals, and recreational activities, there is something for everyone. All programs and events are free to the public and take place outdoors
on the park's8217;s plazas, overlooks, ball fields and historic Pier I.
