Camp Betty Campout Celebrates the Music Arts and Creativity of Women



May 13, 2005 -- The first annual Camp Betty Campout will rock the West Coast from July 22-24, 2005 at Black Oak Ranch in Laytonville, Calif. Camp Betty Campout celebrates the music, arts and creativity of women through a three-day festival featuring over 50 female musicians and performers.

Camp Betty Campout's stellar lineup includes Melissa Ferrick, Grey DeLisle, Lucy Kaplansky, Alix Olson, Toshi Reagan, Cris Williamson, Laura Love, Von Iva, Pamela Means, and Chris Pureka, among many others. The festival's broad range of genres-from folk to rock, riot grrl to electronica, soul to neo-Japanese pop-appeals to music lovers of all ages and interests.

In addition to music, this woman-produced event will feature female DJs, comedians, artists, poets, filmmakers, vendors and workshop leaders in an amazing outdoor environment three hours north of San Francisco. Black Oak Ranch is home to two other major music festivals: Earthdance and the Kate Wolf Memorial Music Festival.
