Codie Prevost Releases Debut Single
May 16, 2005 -- The debut single from Saskatchewan's Codie Prevost (pre-vo) is sure to get people's attention. Produced by Steve Fox and co-written with Codie this song is a combination of youthfulness and wisdom. Blending years of experience along with a new perspective of country music. Codie Prevost is a singer /songwriter originating from rural Saskatchewan, who is diligently working towards reaching his career goals in the music industry. At the 2005 Saskatchewan Country Music Awards in Regina, Codie was nominated for Male Vocalist, Entertainer of the Year, and Rising Star. Other nominees included Brad Johner and Sean Hogan. Codie also had the opportunity to share the stage with other performers such as The Poverty Plainsmen, Jessica Robinson, and Stephanie Thomson.
The debut cd "The Road Ahead" was produced by Steve Fox and features songs written by Codie in collaboration with other songwriters such fellow Canadians Tim Taylor, Jay Semko and Steve Fox. Some of the songs included on the CD are the title track "The Road Ahead", "A Million Miles Away"Better Off Alone", "Shinning River" & the Deric Ruttan/Tim Taylor penned "That's Where I Come In".
The Good Spirit Records official release date of the full length album is June 28th.
