New CD Helps Listeners Reach Higher Consciousness
May 26, 2005 -- It's called Pathworking, and it is a powerful technique to reach states of deeply meditative consciousness. Now, Jeva Singh-Anand, who has studied metaphysics, the occult, and world religions for close to twenty years, harmonizes ancient wisdom with contemporary technology in his first CD release: The Gimel Pathworking. The CD combines autogenics with the wisdom of the Hermetic Kabbalah and deeply relaxing sound sequences. As listeners relax, they enter a trance state and embark on a unique spiritual journey.
Available through the website Lulu.com the CD titled "The Ginel Pathworking", begins with a progressive relaxation sequence which is followed by a guided meditation. Precisely timed synthesized tonal sequences help listeners to attain the proper attunement for the intended result: an encounter with one's own divine spark.
The Hermetic Kabbalah is an outgrowth of the Hebrew Kabbalah, a mystery tradition dating back to 200 C.E. as a result of Jewish mysticism merging with Greek Gnostic teachings. It has been used for sacred workings by mystics and magicians for many centuries, drawing the attention of the larger public with the emergence of magical orders such as the Golden Dawn.
The central emblem of this relatively straightforward map of the spiritual universe is the Tree of Life, a series of ten divine emanations, or Sefirot, connected by twenty-two paths. Each path is associated with a letter of the Hebrew alphabet. Pathworking is using mediation to travel along these paths. The path "Gimel" - the current CD's focus - connects Tiferet, the solar consciousness, with Keter, the divine spark.
Jeva Singh-Anand and the volunteers who helped to test the "The Gimel Pathworking" reported overwhelmingly positive results. In general, a deep trance was experienced. Most found it impossible to recall their experiences while entranced right after the pathworking; instead, they reported significant spiritual insights some twenty-four to forty-eight hours later.
"It's a pretty big leap from Keter to Tiferet," Singh-Anand said. "The mind doesn't have the symbolic language to translate what it experiences at the highest spiritual levels. Therefore, it takes a while for the psyche to break the information into bits it can process."
Jeva Singh-Anand is a Wiccan minister, writer, and multimedia artist. He lives in Sioux City, IA. The CD's price is $12.50.
