Ultrachronic To Play Hermans Hideaway June 30
After a sellout debut show on May 26th that packed The Walnut Room, giving the venue their second-highest crowd draw to date, Ultrachronic - a four-piece rock band out of Denver, Colo. - will be playing again on Thursday, June 30th at Herman's Hideaway, this time with KinetiX.
Ultrachronic is very eager to play Herman's Hideaway for the first time, and they plan on making a big impression on prospective fans and the venue's owners. Expect a fun and energetic show with Ultrachronic's brand of music that can best be characterized as "aggressive groove-rock" in the vein of 311, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Rage Against the Machine, and Incubus - among others. From their more funky, groove-oriented Fault Line, to the heavy, mosh-inspiring Suspect, Ultrachronic's refreshing sound and lively stage performances are expected to be one of the year's newest highlights in the Denver music scene, which was proven on May 26th at their previous show.
Ultrachronic is playing their highly anticipated second show - opening for KinetiX - on Thursday, June 30 at Herman's Hideaway (1578 South Broadway, Denver, CO, 80210 - 303.777.5840). The doors open at 7:30 P.M., and the show starts at 8:00 P.M..
Free tickets to this show are available on Ultrachronic's website: http://www.ultrachronic.com. Without tickets, cover will be around $6.
Stay tuned for more dates and venues, as well as Ultrachronic's debut CD release - expected later this summer. About Ultrachronic
Ultrachronic (www.ultrachronic.com) is a four-piece rock band from Denver, CO. Consisting of vocalist, Kyle Ingram; guitarist, D. Scott Morris; bassist, Dave Crotser; and drummer, Brendon Speas, Ultrachronic's brand of sound could be described as "aggressive groove-rock" in the vein of 311, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Rage Against the Machine and Incubus, among others. Breaking out into Denver's live-music scene in the summer of 2005, Ultrachronic is determined to inspire the "hop" into their listeners with "a sound so funky that we need a license to distribute it."
About Herman's Hideaway
You can tell by the sound system at Herman's that they take music very seriously. A huge venue with a nice dance floor, it's got plenty of seating and everything you need behind the bar to quench your thirst. Herman's is the place to be to kick back with friends and watch up-and-coming bands in a non-neon type of atmosphere. You're not going to find 18+ nights or a bunch of 21-year-olds out for their birthdays; instead Herman's is a place for folks who truly love music and everything that comes with it. The Tuesday and Wednesday night series is sort of a public service, offering aspiring artists time on the stage to test their skills. Herman passed away a few years ago at the age of 91. Herman's son (and fellow music fanatic) Allan now runs the place and has been credited for breaking faves like Big Head Todd and the Subdudes. -- Ann Bender
