Soundstyle Fashion Infused Music Rock n Runway Unites Arizona Arts



Last Exit, the Valley's hottest spot for live rock 'n roll, along with LabelHorde's Rhonda Zayas, present SOUNDSTYLE, a monthly music and fashion event. July 9 kicks off the series featuring designers Tiffe Fermaint, Debris Blanc by Teeroy, Valentin Ramirez and Rhonda Zayas. Models will strut their stuff as bands An Aesthetic, Victory Automatica, Simplify and The BlackMoods-formerly Chalmers Green (nominated for Best Rock Band and Artist of the Year at the 2005 AIM Awards) rock the house. As everyone knows, music and fashion go hand in hand. Now we bring it to you live.

Rhonda Zayas, best known along with partner Angela Johnson as founder of LabelHorde and the Arizona Fashion Foundation, is fast being recognized as Phoenix's own "Andy Warhol." Her work with the music industry echoes that of Warhol with the Velvet Underground. Her colorful, unique, typography-driven designs can be found in her print work, as well as her clothing. She is the driving force behind uniting the fashion and music communities, having produced the magazine/program for the Arizona Infusion of Music Awards and presenting the award for Best World Music on June 4, 2005. Zayas styles and art directs several valley bands including The BlackMoods and up-and-coming Stamina. Her connections made during her decade-long career as an award-winning art director in the Los Angeles entertainment industry are opening doors for artists in Phoenix and we will look to her to further secure Arizona's spot on the artistic map.
