Stealing Venus Rocks Next Generation
No one can deny the amazing success enjoyed by the legendary rock group, LiVE. With Rolling Stone Magazine listing the album, "Throwing Copper" as one of the top 20 albums ever released. Not to mention, the scores of top ten and number one singles by
the band . LiVE guitarist, Chad Taylor, knows music, the biz, and what a young band needs to make it. His first album, "Mental Jewelry", was recorded while he and his fellow bandmates were just 17 years old. Chad Taylor has taken the crazy, turbulent ride into rock-n-roll heaven!
Having all that knowledge under his belt, it's no suprise that Chad Taylor has taken a promising, young, Hollywood band under his wing. The band, Stealing Venus has become a labor of love for this rock veteran. Chad has produced a six song EP entitled, "Sugar High" from his Moontree Media recording studios in Lancaster, PA. Aided by studio partner, Adam Kontis, the studio came alive with the unusual rock stylings of the girls of, Stealing Venus.
The female rock trio of Merritt Hicks (vocals), Alisha Fraher (guitars/backing vocals) and Mia Heldt (bass) are the foundation of
the band . Writing and arranging all their own original material, these girls have a firm grip on the future of music that's not as distant as the next galaxy!
Adding to the overall appeal of this new edge are the hot guitar licks of seasoned guitarist, Ricky Castro. Held firmly together by the solid drum riffs of (one time Candlebox frontman), Kevin Martin.
With the completion of "Sugar High",
the band is now hitting the live music scene, armed and ready. Currently,
the band is shopping their 'master piece' to record labels under the close watch of producer, Chad Taylor. Keep your eyes and ears open for the first emerging of this new twist in rock.
