Golly Music USA Releases Mandolino Mio by Larry Cutrone
Veteran musician, entertainer, writer, and comedian Larry Cutrone has reached an agreement with Golly Music USA for the release of his new CD Mandolino Mio. Golly records is owned by the legendary and flamboyant record promoter Walter Gollender. Gollender once was hired by Bob Crewe Company to promote, publicize, and secure catalogue material by staff composers Larry Brown and Ray Bloodworth (responsible for hits for Mitch Ryder, the Four Seasons, etc.)
Gollender was instrumental in the behind the scenes promotion of mega hit songs including Tie a yellow ribbon, Candida, Knock three times, and countless others. Larry Cutrone and Walt Gollender began their association over thirty years ago and only just recently finally became partners in this new venture. Both men have been visible on the NY Metropolitan music scene for many years and have enjoyed continued success in various entertainment venues.
This CD is a collection of Mandolin Instrumental favorites with a strong emphasis on Italian music and it's the first CD Larry Cutrone ever released that he didn't include vocals. "It's a labor of love to all those people over the years who wanted to hear these songs recorded using modern recording equipment" according to Larry Cutrone. Gollender made an offer to release the CD on his Golly Music Label and the final agreement was reached on July 6, 2005. Those interested in purchasing the CD can find it online at www.larrycutrone.com or on Amazon.
