Sue Jeffers Tim Queen to Play Scotts Folkatorium

Sue Jeffers & Tim Queen to Play Scott's Folkatorium Friday September 16, 2005 7:00 p.m.

Sue Jeffers will kick off her fall tour with a show at Scott's Folkatorium with long time duo partner Tim Queen.

Ohio native Jeffers hails from the historically significant city of Kent, drives a hybrid car, puts a lot of time and energy into her local peace coalition, and has recorded five albums on her own label, FBI Records. While many of her songs focus on political and social ills, she also writes about affairs of the heart and other everyday topics that all music fans can relate to, no matter what their party affiliation.

Queen has long been part of the Northern Ohio music scene, playing with The Reason, 9 Below Zero , the Davey Fields band and more recently joining John Jakes Mose on stage.

The duo will be playing Scott's Folkatorium September 16th. The concert will start at 7:00pm, admission will be $5.

Following the Akron show, Jeffers will head to Washington DC for a benefit concert for United For Peace & Justice with Disappear Fear and take part in the anti-war mobilization of September 24 before joining up with the Indiegrrl Tour.
