Special Radio Broadcast to Help The Victims Of Hurricane Katrina
On Monday August 29th we all watched in horror as hurricane Katrina made landfall hitting the Louisiana coast between Grand Isle and the mouth of the Mississippi River. We watched as it tore through New Orleans, Biloxi, Gulfport, Mobile, and other cities along the gulf coast. In the days after hurricane Katrina hit, and even today, we continue to see the footage of the devastation it left behind and the people who were affected by it.
Just days after the hurricane hit, Lazlo from BlowUpRadio.com started making calls to local bands about arranging talent for a radio broadcast benefit show to help the victims of hurricane Katrina. He also contacted friends at UpstageRadio.com and 90.5 the Night, about airing this special benefit show. The outpouring of support from the local music scene has become, "Banding Together: A Benefit For The Victims Of Hurricane Katrina".
A 3 hour radio show, "Banding Together" will feature live music by 33 local bands and musicians, as well as them talking about the devastation Hurricane Katrina left behind and charities you can donate to.
The spirit of, "Banding Together", is that if we work together and each donate what we can, we can make a big difference in the lives of those affected by Hurricane Katrina.
"Banding Together: A Benefit For The Victims Of Hurricane Katrina", will simultaneously air on BlowUpRadio.com UpstageRadio.com ,and 90.5 The Night (WBJB) on Wednesday September 21st at 8pm.
