Roots and Rock Rule at City Canyons Records Sixth Showcase at Manhattans Red Lion Tonight

Tonight at Manhattan's Red Lion at 7:30 p.m., City Canyons Records -- an exciting independent label based in downtown Manhattan -- joins with national sponsor Black Dog Promotions and regional sponsor the New York City Guitar School to present the sixth in a string of highly acclaimed events that have become one of New York's most popular and prestigious ongoing showcases for independent music.

The stellar cast of roots and rock artists gathered for this event includes Jen Elliott with Anne Husick, Matty Charles and the Valentines, Jessica Star, Early Grace and the Mighty Shakes. The night features a mix of blues and blues influenced music (Jen Elliott and Jessica Star), country (Matty Charles and the Valentines), roots rock (Early Grace) and a blend of blues, rock and folk (The Mighty Shakes).

The Red Lion is located at 151 Bleecker Street in Manhattan. Admission for the event is only $5.00 at the door.
