Miss Frenchie Davis regrets that illness will force her to reschedule her planned Wednesday evening presentation of her celebrated cabaret.
Join Restoration Stage, Inc. on Sunday April 16, 2006 at 8 p.m. at AQUA on New York Avenue for an unforgettable evening of music and song with Frenchie Davis (Rent and American Idol). For
one night only Ms. Davis, a Howard University alum, brings her cabaret show home to Washington. Her show has taken New York by a storm and features songs by Barbra Streisand, Bette
Midler, Chaka Khan, Whitney Houston and more. An Evening with Frenchie Davis is a fundraiser benefiting the new musical play, THE TRUTH (Welcome To The Down Low). AQUA Night Club is
located at 1818 New York Avenue (just North of "LOVE" and across the street from the Hess station). Admission is $25 in advance and $30 at the door.
Ms. Davis, an American Idol season 2 fan favorite, is best known for her haunting rendition of the Jennifer Holliday hit "And I Am Telling You." When called upon by Courtney Baker-Oliver
to do to this benefit concert, without hesitation she accepted.
"Courtney and I have been friends for a long time. Anything he needs I am there."
THE TRUTH (Welcome to the Down Low), written by playwright Steven A. Butler with music and lyrics by Courtney Baker-Oliver and Christopher John addresses-head on-the myth that married men
living on the "down low" is something that happens in other families.
