Washington Avenue is gearing up to host its 2nd Washington Avenue MusicFest of the summer, featuring live music, great food, kids's8217; activities and an art fair, all in the heart of the revitalized loft district. Proceeds from the MusicFest events will benefit the Downtown Children's8217;s Center, a non-profit childcare facility in downtown St. Louis.

The Music Festival:
Washington Avenue is gearing up to host its 2nd Washington Avenue MusicFest of the summer, featuring live music, great food, kids's8217; activities and an art fair, all in the heart of
the revitalized loft district. Proceeds from the MusicFest events will benefit the Downtown Children's8217;s Center, a non-profit childcare facility in downtown St. Louis.
All of the events and activities are FREE to event goers all day long. July's8217;s MusicFest will feature an animal adoption area sponsored by the Saint Charles Humane Society [SCHS, a
dog run for family pets, a kid'ss park to keep the youngsters busy, and fun stuff for grownups too 's8211; like a mechanical bull, a 24-foot rock climbing wall, joist and bouncy
boxing.
The diverse range of musical acts for this event include both local and touring performers. The music for all events will start at noon and the last band will finish after 10PM. Our
line-up for the July 22 event is listed below:

Note: Washington Avenue between 12th and 14th streets and the entirety of Lucas Park will be shut down and barricaded for these events
Activities and Events:

Main stage spanning the width of Washington Avenue, with an audience area spanning a city block

A Children's8217;s park sponsored by the Downtown YMCA with a junior slide, Safari bus, playground, jungle gym equipment, inflatable activities, face painting, rock climbing, crafts,
games and more
>
Grown-up area including 24-foot rock climbing wall, Joist, bouncy boxing and a mechanical bull.
>
Pet adoption center sponsored by the Saint Charles Humane Society [SCHS; dog run and play area for family pets to socialize; information booths related to animal services and
organizations.
>
Mini-art fair on the 600 block of 13th street with as many as 20 artist booths.
>
Dining area on the 500 block of 13th street with booths; in addition to all the restaurants on the two participating blocks.
>
Boutique sales area giving visitors a chance to learn about the many retail stores in and around the area.
About the Downtown Children's8217;s Center:
The center has been an integral part of the revitalization of downtown St. Louis. The Downtown Children's8217;s Center has gone through many changes alongside of the city, and has always
been a beacon for the area. Located in the Heart of the Loft District, the DCC has helped all of us realize that downtown is a wonderful place to be, and that the area is constantly
improving.
