The Eben Brooks Band is pleased to announce their first MTV-style video.
Filmed at Lestat's Coffee House, this full production video for Champs lyses is a sensory delight that immerses viewers into the story behind the song. A continual fan favorite, "Champs
lyses" can be found on Eben Brooks' second album, Mirrors (2006).
The song takes its inspiration from a passage in Roger Zelazny's Courts of Chaos. The narrator, while trying to stop the end of the world, remembers turn-of-the-century Paris as a collage
of sights, sounds, and smells. This feeling of remembrance and urgency is paralleled in the video, which tells the story of Eben's musical evolution from youthful enthusiasm and
self-indulgence to wisdom and self-knowledge.
The video is produced by Sun, Moon, & Stars Productions and was shot in its entirety at Lestat's West, in the Normal Heights area of San Diego.
Current plans for the video include broadcast on European music television.
