Holiday Comic Pop Songs by Lynn Julian Are Minty Fresh

Ipswitch, MA resident, Lynn Julian, received the honor of having her comic songs, 'If Farts Were Superballs' and 'Ham For The Holidays" selected by Taxi Indie A&R company (TAXI.COM) to be forwarded to "Minty Fresh," a novelty song publishing company in Chicago, ILL. This well known publisher places wide range of songs in television and film. Hear Julian's songs: http://www.broadjam.com/LynnJulian. (Click on "Albums" link on the left.)

Taxi is a subscription based, independent A&R company that receives thousands of songs from artists all over the world, along with thousands of requests for songs from TV, film, record labels, publishers and music libraries. Every time they receive a song request, Taxi lists it in their monthly newsletter. Musicians who have subscribed can then submit their original material to compete for which song or songs are chosen to be "forwarded" on to the company.

Taxi is excited to recognize Lynn Julian for her exceptional songwriting ability in "If Farts Were Superballs" and "Ham For the Holidays," by forwarding BOTH of them to "Minty Fresh." This well known publishing company is considering her songs for placement in film and television. Julian competed against songwriters from all over the world for this honor. When asked what inspired the songs, Julian confessed that she is truly "just a child at heart." Both songs will be featured on her upcoming Comic Holiday CD this Fall, "Ham for the Holidays!"

Currently, Julian is concentrating on promoting her concept album, "Cookie Cutter Girl," which was just released this year. It features "Cookie Cutter Girl," her Super Hero alter ego who is freeing women everywhere from the mold in which society holds them captive. Self-produced through her record label, Cookie Cutter Records, the CD delivers "POWER POP with a PUNCH." It consists of twelve tracks that tell the story of "Cutter," and will be accompanied by a CD Rom Comic Book story of her adventures. Julian will co-write the comic with Sonic Comics' Justine Fontes, "the queen of liscensed children's books," and Ron Fontes, the ex-art director for Marvel Comics. Julian co-produced, wrote and performed all songs on the album. Spending countless hours each week researching promotional ideas, she is a perfect example of an independent artist, that has branded herself and is motivated to sell her own product. Look for her CD, "Cookie Cutter Girl," on her website, Tower Records, Apple ITunes, CDBaby.com and in New England retail stores.

You can find Julian and Cookie Cutter Girl performing currently in Maine venues and receiving rave reviews for Power Pop songs from her new CD, like 'Jenny' and 'Get the Picture.' A goal for Julian AND "Cookie Cutter Girl" is to harness her "Guitar Rock with GIRL POWER" to help women be their own hero. Ask yourself, "Am *I* a "cookie cutter" girl or did I "break the mold!"
