IG Music A Hit With 3 Generations

When was the last time you heard music that you, your 5 and 9 year-olds and your parents could enjoy together

Most of today's Hip-Hop won't do it, and even Classical, Rock and Jazz don't generally capture the interest of all generations. However, there are some select artists who are benefiting from a trend in music called "InterGenerational", otherwise tagged as "3G" or 3-Generations.

Singer/songwriters Miss Amy, Ralph Covert and Dan Zanes to name a few are capitalizing on a wave of enthusiasm that actually has roots from many decades ago, but has the benefit of all of the trends since - there are many styles of music to choose from and double and even triple meanings within a song can give height to an otherwise boring song hook, much the way Disney can make "Toy Story" or "Herbie Fully Loaded" funny to parents, not just kids.

Sometimes confused as Kid's Music to a novice, the IG trend is actually a blend of sophisticated compositions that kids like, that are interesting to parents, and even have throw-backs to lingo or concepts that grand-parents enjoy, all contained in a "good-vibe, good-value" package.

In this age of radicalism, some basic feel-good music seems to be a pillar families are drawn to. What better to have in the car than music everyone therein can enjoy
